Wedding shoot (Part 2) - The shoot

Our shoot was done at kenting which was an hour drive away from our bridal shop.
We had to wake up early for make up at the bridal at 8:30am to be in schedule.

I was extremely cheery the entire day.
We were glad the photographer is a funny chap.
He made smiling (laughing) too easy for us. Hahaha..

Shall let the photos do the talking
(not in order)

Curling my hair to prep for outdoor shoots
I look really grumpy when I'm not smiling... =/

CRAZY CURLS!

Dabian's turn to make up

Us before the 2nd indoor shoot

Dabian looking smart

Lighting guy, andy adjusting the crystals
Alot of andy in the behind-the-scenes photos because he is the right-hand man of the photographer.

Candid shot... I have no idea why we were laughing like this. hahah..

Obscene shot of dabian and andy! Lol..

Andy helping me with the extremely loose ear clip that keeps coming off... -__-

I like this shot... I think it's a candid shot
Was stored under our 花絮folder so I can post! Lol..

Us learning how to JUMP on that narrow strip of 'rock wall'
Anyway.. that's the outfit I wore to 7eleven for lunch. Cool or not?! Lol..

That's me putting on my heels for the nth time
Seriously regretted getting laced heels.. not easy to put on!

Dabian helping me get up from that awkward position.
I have to stress how challenging it was to shoot at this venue.
1) My gown made it hard for me to sit on/get up from the ground
2) There were spiders, crickets, grasshoppers in the field and I was shrieking like mad
Thankfully, the shots were good!
In fact, they were few of my favourites.
Worth all the energy worrying about creepy crawlies...

Prepping for the sunset shoot at this dead carol reef area
The poor photographer had to walked bare footed on the dead carols because I was wearing his slippers. Hahaha..
I couldn't walk with my heels!

Candid shot of our stylist, pei pei and andy.

Here.. I would like to give thanks to our photographer, en zhe (i don't have his photo! =( ) for taking such beautiful photos.
The photoshoot was relaxing and enjoyable with his jokes. Lol..
Thank him for lending me his slippers throughout the trip.

Thanks to pei pei for styling us since 8:30am.
It wasn't easy for pei pei to style my wild hair under strong wind conditions at kenting.
It also wasn't easy for her to do my eye make up because I kept tearing the moment anything touches my eyelids.

Thanks to andy for helping us throughout the shot.
He was the person who helped adjust our outfits, hold my gown to create that wind effect, etc.
He is like the person that does whatever en zhe or pei pei can't do

THANK YOU!!

Ending the post with a pretty view of sunset at that dead carol reef area. =)

Wedding shoot (Part 1) - Outfit selection

Blogging about this is sooo much tougher than I expected.
Stared at the screen for the last half an hour or so (while watching Grimm on channel 5) figuring how to start this off.
This may be a lil long winding. =)

Well.. you may or may not have known that we just came back for our wedding shoot in Taiwan.
It was....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
AWESOME!

There's no better word more apt to describe the experience.

Be patient while I blabber about our trip first. Lol.
Anyway, dabian only allowed me to blog on the behind-the-scenes.
So the actual shots will still have to wait till our wedding.... NEXT SEP!! =)

It was a mad mad mad rush on the day we flew.
Had to work during the day because I didn't have enough leave and had to OT because there was a heap of work to clear before I 'ROD' (more on that some other days).
Long story short, I only managed to finish packing my luggage before rushing to the airport.

Reached the airport only to realise our flight was delayed.
There was a really bad storm (i think so) in hkg and all flights to hkia was delayed.
Yea we transited in hkg because thats the cheapest way (w/o having to take budget airline) to kaohsiung.

Us 'patiently' waiting for boarding

Ah Bing from the bridal shop was already waiting for us at the airport when we finally reached kaohsiung after about 10 hours of travelling and waiting.
(Kudos to both of us! -__-)

Went for lunch and check in at our minsu before heading to the bridal shop.
First meal in taiwan: pork ribs rice
Very similar to our mixed rice.

Really well marinated and tasty piece of meat!

Alright.. shall fast forward to outfit selection. Lol..
(I'm seriously long winded)

The bridal was located somewhere in Pingtung and about 5 mins drive from our minsu.
One distinct difference between taiwan and singapore bridal shop is their SIZE.
Almost every bridal outlets we saw were 4 or 5 storeys!

1st floor - front desk, makeup studio
2nd floor - fitting rooms, altering room
3rd floor - night gowns
4th floor - white gowns
5th floor - photography studio

We were pampered with a wide variety of outfits.
Like... AN ENTIRE FLOOR OF NIGHT GOWNS AND ANOTHER FOR WHITE GOWNS!!
Of course, dabian only tried on a couple of suits. (guys outfit are boring!)

There were awkward moments... like when the stylist helped me put on the nubra. O_O
But it was fun choosing the outfits.
These are some I tried.. =)
(I have this weird expression in all the shots.... ask the photographer why! =( )

I love this gown!! One of my favorite!

I look extremely fat in here...

and here too.. -__-

Back of the white gown I've selected..
It was the one and only white gown I've tried from the lot.
Both of us liked instantly and there was no need to try others. =)

Out of those gowns above, only the last white gown and pink night gown in front was used for the shoot.

You've got to be amazed at how fast the seamstress works!
While I was changing out from the last gown, the seamstress finished altering 4 of the selected gowns!
And they were perfect fit!
She finished altering my last gown while I was testing the fit for the first few.
Seriously.... how is that possible?!

We were exhausted and hungry after the fitting. Lol... (seriously zero stamina)
Ah bing brought us to try their 猪脚.
It's unlike the one we are familiar with.

Looks like our kind of 猪脚 yea? But it tastes nothing like it...

猪脚 chopped in slices like kuay chap and served with some kind lor-mee-taste-alike sauce.
Garlic lovers would love the sauce.
I kinda like it even though I'm not very fond of garlic. =9

Taiwanese mee tai mak

Headed back to our minsu right after dinner.
We needed the rest desperately...
Well needed beauty sleep before the shoot!

Our minsu was included in the bridal package and it was located in a cosy neighbourhood.
We stayed in their theme suite room for 3 nights!

Huge ass photo of dabian and I outside our minsu

Their apartments are soooooo pretty!

We got the china themed suite
*points to the key chain* we are at the southern point of taiwan - pingtung

The tub where we soaked our tired feet... lol
Weird habit of mine... I like soaking my feet in bath tubs.
Its like the first thing I do whenever we return to the minsu/hotel (if there's a tub).
Hahahaha...
