Taiwan -- Day 5

Day 5 in Taiwan… we woke up damn early to catch the early HSR to Taichung.
Took the MRT to Zuoying where the HSR station is situated.

Got our tickets from the vending machine. How convenient!

HSR moves at 295km/h!! It took only slightly more than an hour from Kaoshiung to Taichung.
(Took us more than 3 hours on normal railway!)

Our luggage and a glimpse of our床头照 at the back.
It wasn’t easy carry these around! Especially our photo frame!

Our breakfast onboard the HSR
Healthy and yummy!

Love

Thankfully, we pre-arranged our cab driver to pick us up at Taichung HSR station.
Otherwise, its going to be hell carrying the luggage.
Taichung doesn’t have MRT system like in Kaoshiung and Taipei, so you’ve really got to rely on private transportation.
Especially when the attractions are quite inaccessible and ulu.
For our case, we engaged a cab driver for our 3 days in Taichung and had our itinerary worked out prior to our trip.
We eventually became good friends with our cab driver, xiao yi.
Do let me know if any of you require cab service in Taichung! =)

Alright.. I shall do this by attractions.
(So I don’t get confuse.. lol)

心之芳庭
Our first attraction was Moncoeur (心之芳庭)
This kind of themed garden is quite popular in Taiwan.
We skipped Lavendar Cottage because Moncoeur was more convenient and was opened by the same boss (so similar concept).

Nice entrance =)

There were several cute looking cottages and houses around the garden.
Cozy and romantic in some way.

Banana New Paradise (香蕉新樂園茶飯館)

Had our lunch at Banana New Paradise.
The restaurant is like a museum on its own replicating the street of old Taiwan.
Entering the restaurant is like walking back to our grandparents’ era some 60 years ago.

Old school tram marks the restaurant along shuang shih road

Dabian chatting up the big-headed conductor

Waiting.. Waiting.. Waiting..
