Not a good day at all

Today's a day filled with anger, frustration and disappointment. Don't ask me what happened. I don't wish to talk about it and I won't talk about it.

Cosmoworld

Apart from Disney Land/Sea and Universal Studio, Japan does have other amazing amusement parks.
Check out CosmoWorld in Yokohama, Kanagawa. Hometown to my dear Tegoshi.

CosmoWorld may be famed for the Gigantic Ferris Wheel but it has other cooler rides.
I'm referring to the Diving Cosmo 'Vanish!'
Definitely not for the faint hearted.
Not the usual loop-the-loop kind of coaster. This is one of the most astounding roller coaster I've ever seen. (Mountain-tortoise-me)

Seriously can't imagine Tegoshi taking the ride when he was younger.
(Disclaimer: Tegoshi has never mention that he tried the ride. Just my imagination since its located in his hometown.)

Artificial splash when the coaster enters the underground.

Look at the magniude of the fall!

Glimpse of the Cosmo Clock 21 behind 'Vanish!'.
Look at the degree of declination! COOL!!

It looks even prettier at night!

Need I say more... CosmoWorld has officially enter my places-to-visit list.
Mo! Bring me there soon! XDD

Hilarious!

This is hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing! XDD Read on!

Hi

I opened the screen door yesterday and my cat got out and has been missing since then so I was wondering if you are not to busy you could make a poster for me. It has to be A4 and I will photocopy it and put it around my suburb this afternoon.

This is the only photo of her I have she answers to the name Missy and is black and white and about 8 months old. missing on Harper street and my phone number.

Thanks Shan.

Dear Shannon,

That is shocking news.
Although I have two clients expecting completed work this afternoon, I will, of course, drop everything and do whatever it takes to facilitate the speedy return of Missy.

Regards, David.

Dear Shannon,

It's a design thing. The cat is lost in the negative space.

Thats just stupid. Can you do it properly please? I am extremely emotional over this and was up all night in tears. you seem to think it is funny. Can you make the photo bigger please and fix the text and do it in colour please. Thanks.

Dear Shannon,

Having worked with designers for a few years now, I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window. I have amended and attached the poster as per your instructions.

Regards, David.

This is worse than the other one. can you make it so it shows the whole photo of Missy and delete the stupid text that says missing missy off it? I just want it to say Lost.

yeah can you do the poster or not? I just want a photo and the word lost and the telephone number and when and where she was lost and her name. Not like a movie poster or anything stupid. I have to leave early today. If it was your cat I would help you. Thanks.

Dear Shannon,

I don't have a cat. I once agreed to look after a friend's cat for a week but after he dropped it off at my apartment and explained the concept of kitty litter. I have attached the amended version of your poster as per your detailed instructions.

Regards, David.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.

Regards, David.

A long long time ago friend

Its so weird to see someone familiar on newspaper. Headlines somemore.
Primary school mate turning model... commenting on 'extra services'. =/
Its even weirder to see her in thick make-up. So not her.

Tanabata

Happy Tanabata! =D
*sings tanabata matsuri*

Tanabata was spent with good friends and good food. It has been an enjoyable few hours!
Met up with sm, cindy and weijie for steamboat at 鲜得来. Second dining experience and still madly in love with their fish glue. =9

Non-spicy soup base for both sides. It doesn't really matter if its yuan yang or not. Hahas..

After a scruptious dinner, we walked to Shaw Tower for dessert. Abit of exercise aka digestion before round 2.

Round 2: Tom's Palette at Shaw Tower
Ziwei wasn't working today. =/

Mine: mocha macnut + granny's favourite
sm's: salted caramel + mango
Yummilicious ice cream! Soft and smooth. =9

Strolled down along beach road while having our ice cream.
Starbucks at Raffles City for more gossip session!
Today's topics had been quite explicit. lol...

The new Lemon Green Tea. Truly refreshing and thrist quenching.
I wanted to try the new Hazelnut Java Chip Frappe. But maybe some other time... when I didn't just have a heavy dinner. =X *fattening!*

sm is a puffer-fish! cute!!!

My hair looks dyed! But its not!
And NO! I do not look like Raymond. Hahahas..

Its so hard to take this shot with sm.. because there was a table between the both of us. =X
But my *twist* did a great job in concealing the acne.

My husband and I! *loves*

Mr Giraffe and I.
Omg.. I look like almost zombie like!

Great friends forever!
** The one in the middle is going to head our 姐妹团 when any of us gets married in the future. XDD

Keisuke + Karaoke

I was serious when I meant that I'm a noob when it comes to taking bus. I didn't know SBS has this (points downwards) notice in their buses now.

I like the 'No assault on bus captain' one! Hahahs!

Not working at Skateline again. Because of our belated date to Keisuke.

Headed to Parco Millenia for Keisuke. Mo and I just had to try their ramen because of the good reviews. We've been looking forward to it.

The pretty shop exterior reminds me of 黒執事. Well... maybe just the fonts.

The ramen was fabulous! Handmade ramen in rich ebi miso base. =9
Its impossible for us to compare this to any other ramen. Because the taste is so unique, its unlike any ramen we've tried before.
And its served in cute odd shaped bowl. Cute!
Simply love the ramen! Worth the tough journey travelling there. =)

The ramen doesn't look fascinating on my camera. That's because of my horrible photography skills. The presentation of the ramen was in fact quite pretty. The taste was awesome! =9

Quick visit to our 2nd home to collect our magazines after the good meal.

Travelled down to Cash Studio for Karaoke!
Seriously rusty... I can't even remember the last time I sang Japanese songs.

The song manual was updated till May 2010. Woohoo!!

Spot what I was trying to find?! XPP

Despite the partial nose block, I actually did pretty well singing 砂時計. First time scoring a 90 on this system. Yeah!!

That's mo when she did her favourite 涙そうそう.

And there you go... a score of 91 points for a well sang 涙そうそう. =D

I love non-working days. =)

Office cleaning + Date with Dabian

Not the usual weekend.

Woke up early for work... not at Skateline but in the office. Was there to 'supervise' the office cleaning.

The sulphur-like powder is the cleaning agent. And it smells of pine!

There wasn't much for me to do as most areas were blocked off. Did my Japanese homework and played with my camera. =)

My ultra-messy work desk.
Don't you think my wallpaper is cute?!

Dabian came to accompany me while his car was under servicing.

After the long, tedious and super boring office cleaning, both of us MRT-ed and bus-ed to collect his car.
Seriously, both of us are noobs when it comes to taking the bus.

All the walking to collect his car. But its all worth it. The mechanic gave him a good price for full servicing. =)

After collecting the car, we went to catch Knight and Day at AMKHub.
It was a pretty good show. Super hilarious! Alot better than Killers.
PLUS... Tom Cruise is soooo HOT! He has a unbelievable nice abs for his age. *drools*

Totally in love with Spicy Drumlets. =9

A truly relaxing Saturday. Time well spent with Dabian. =)

HAPPY 70TH MONTHSARY! *loves*

Dabian and I at Disneyland.

Dabian and I at the Great Buddha in Ngong Ping.

I miss our Hong Kong trip!
