8 years of LOVE

Time flies by really quickly when spent with people you love.
On 1 Sep, we celebrated our 8th anniversary.
What's more is that we celebrated this year's anniversary as an engaged couple.

Celebrated our special day with Sentosa... literally.
It was Sentosa's 40th anniversary!
It was pure coincidence that we chose to celebrate the day there.
We were lucky to get to enjoy all the anniversary perks.

Before heading to the island

FREE badge = FREE island admission

The crowded was insane.
There were barricades where the Sentosa Express is but was of no use.

The Sandy Treasure
A sand sculpture exhibition of Sentosa's history

Performers on stilts
Aiyah... I couldn't get a shot with the tourists

On our way to UNDERWATER WORLD!

When was the last time you have been to the Underwater World?

My last trip to the Underwater World was a few years back... maybe when I was in poly.
I almost forgot what's its like inside besides the conveyor belt.
Anyway, we saw lots of marine creatures MATING!
A really eye opener! Lol..

Where got people so happy around shark?

Green turtles are adorable!

Grumpy lion fish
My dad used to rear one of this when he was into marine fishes.
But I can't remember what happened to it.

Marine fossils

The underneath of a horseshoe crab
Can you believe they have been on earth since 450 million years ago?!

What did I say about creatures mating?!
Lol.. a couple of mating horseshoe crabs

Pig nose turtle!
Omg.. we used to rear 2 of these!

An extremely huge and ancient fish which I can't remember what it is called.
This fishie is hunched back. It swam like that... as in 'L' shaped.

Not-so-gigantic giant octopus

Another mating pair

Really cute but I have no idea what this is called

Colourful starfishes

Alaska King Crab... yums?! Lol..

The easiest shot of the day.
The seahorse remained stationary while I took this shot.
Its so pretty with the leafy stuff.

Unicorn fish

Mini jellies
Supposed to be a artsy shot.. what do you think?

More jellies
I love it that they are luminous under UV lights

This is a giant deep sea isopod.
Looks oddly like a huge albino underwater cockroach.
Guess what it feeds on..... dead carcass of WHALES and other fishies

Sharks having some kinda meeting? Lol

The shark got dabian within its jaws!!

Turtles are simply adorable!

My fiancĂ© is adorable too

Headed to the Dolphin Lagoon since our ticket came with its admission.
Surprised how much they have changed.
The last time I was there... the performance was conducted at the beach and audience sat on portable chairs.
Now, there is a proper sheltered auditorium with mist fan!

Sea lion doing the jump

Caught 2 of them in the middle of their leap

It so hard to picture these fast moving creatures. Lol..

Dolphin doing a bigger jump
Can't emphasize how much it is to picture this with a normal camera

The next highlight of the day was to Fort Siloso
Honestly, I have never been there before.
I never like wax figures... but dabian loves whatever related to history.
He is a old man.

The cute bus which brought us up the hill

Fort Silso is all about WWII
Some of the exhibits were quite scary, imo.
But its quite saddening to see videos and pictures of the POWs.
Anyway fun fact about dabian: he remembers details of WWII to the exact dates of almost every event

Few of the many canons around the area

Rusty old canon facing the sea

These are 'spot lights', not canons!

Did take much photos at Fort Silso because its scary... and we were rushing off for dinner at MBS.
Took the monorail back after the short tour.... well not really. Lol

I miss the monorail!!
